Like our fellow Choral Directors, Choir Members and Musicians, we were hoping that we would be able to return to gathering together for in-person rehearsals, workshops, sing days and concerts (all keeping safe within the guidelines of course) for this season, but alas, we will have to wait a little while longer...
We released 'Prayer of St Teresa of Avila' last year and whilst we only got the one opportunity to hear it sung by a few members of our Masterworks Chorale choir at a socially distanced rehearsal in October, it was a moving and poignant experience for all, not least because of the occasion and the words of the Prayer ... needless to say we are very much looking forward to hearing it again.
So, for when you might have the opportunity to bring your singers together again, we would like to gift to you this beautiful set of words which are set in a simple style and, when the time comes, would make an excellent introit or concert closer. We would love to hear any recordings of the piece you may be able to make when circumstances allow.
