Yin and Yang?

Updated: Jan 19, 2022

The saying goes that 'a leopard never changes it's spots' ... but then conversely there is much talk of 'reinventing oneself' to adapt to changing circumstances and events ... the latter, of course, has never been more applicable to many of us in the musical world over the last 18 months or so as a result of the pandemic and we know from our own experience and from choir posts across social media that many choirs are reforming with reduced numbers and seeking new repertoire to suit the members they now have.

From its inception in 2012, like the leopard, the 'Accessible Choral Library Series' has never changed its spots (and never will) from its intended purpose to cater for smaller choirs and provide a range of pieces that are accessible, affordable and appealing and could be versatile and flexible. The series has grown to over 40 titles covering sacred, secular, folk and traditional (including Rosa Conrad's ever-popular range of sea shanties) and Christmas music with piano or organ accompaniment, either original or specifically written in 2-part, 3-part or Unison arrangements from a range of talented composers from across the UK.

So, if you have yet to discover the 'ACL Series', then perhaps it could prove to be the 'Yin' to your 'Yang' or vice versa - in essence, two halves that together make complete wholeness (according to Chinese philosophy!). Your half is the choir; our half is the music....

We can offer FREE sample copies of all of the pieces in the ACL Series and put together a free sample pack of music for your choir (for overseas choirs we will send this electronically)... all you need to do is send us an email to mail@timknightmusic.com and tell us about your choir - how many members you have and what voice parts, what style of music you sing and where you sing it ...

You can view the whole series via this link and we have recordings of many of the pieces on our YouTube Channel playlist.
