Scored for: Organ Solo
This piece was written for American composer and concert organist Carson Cooman. It has since been used at graduation ceremonies and is indeed suitable as a prelude for any solemn occasion. Built on a tiny fragment of a rising theme which eventually develops into a falling theme, its modal characteristics make use of the organ’s ability to rise from a small sound to a massive climax in a short period of time.
